Application Notes
The enantiomers of the cresols plus the compound phenol were separated by reversed phase HPLC using a Cyclobond I 2000 column and detected by UV at 254nm.
Cresols + Phenol, Astec Application Report 4006
Cresols + Phenol, CAS No. NR, three methylated phenols and phenol were separated into its respective enantiomers by isocratic elution in around 25 minutes by reversed phase HPLC on an Astec Cyclobond I 2000 column (250 x 4.6mm, Part No. 20024) using methanol, water (10:90). The enantiomers were detected by UV at 254nm.
In HPLC, ultraviolet (UV) detectors measure absorption of radiation from chromophores in eluted compounds over the range 190-400nm.
