Application Notes
The enantiomers of the rodenticide coumachlor were separated by reversed phase HPLC using a Chirobiotic V column and detected by UV at 254nm.
Coumachlor, Astec Application Report 114
Coumachlor, CAS No. 81-82-3, a rodenticide was separated into its two respective enantiomers by isocratic elution in around 25 minutes by reversed phase HPLC on an Astec Chirobiotic V column (250 x 4.6mm, Part No. 11024) using THF, 20mM ammonium nitrate (25:75). The enantiomers were detected by UV at 254nm.
In HPLC, ultraviolet (UV) detectors measure absorption of radiation from chromophores in eluted compounds over the range 190-400nm.
Astec (Advanced Separation Technologies) is a leader in the production and sale of chiral chromatography columns for LC and capillary GC.
