Application Notes
The enantiomers of the antihyperlipoproteinemic drug ciprofibrate were separated by reversed phase HPLC using a Cyclobond I 2000 column and detected by UV at 254nm.
Ciprofibrate, Astec Application Report 4029
Ciprofibrate, CAS No. 52214-84-3, an antihyperlipoproteinemic drug was separated into its two respective enantiomers by isocratic elution in around 20 minutes by reversed phase HPLC on an Astec Cyclobond I 2000 column (250 x 4.6mm, Part No. 20024) using acetonitrile, methanol, acetic acid, TEA (95:5:0.3:0.2). The enantiomers were detected by UV at 254nm.
In HPLC, ultraviolet (UV) detectors measure absorption of radiation from chromophores in eluted compounds over the range 190-400nm.
