Thirteen surface-active detergents were separated using a GROM-SIL 120 ODS-3 CP column (250 x 4mm, Part No. GSOD30512S2504) by isocratic elution with 0.25M sodium perchlorate, pH 2.5 (with phosphoric acid) and methanol 30/70 in around 31 minutes and detected by refractive index (RI). The compounds separated were lauryldimethlyaminoacetic acid betaine, 2-lauryl-n-carboxymethyl-n-hydroxyethylimidazolinium betaine, lauryldimethylaminoxide, sodium-n-lauroylmethyllaurate, sodium-n-lauroyl-L-glutamate, laurinic acid diethanolamide, lauric acid monoethanolamide, sodium-laurylsulfonate, sodium-laurylsulfate, sodium-n-lauroylsarcosinate, sodium-n-laurylaminopropionate, sodium-n-lauroylsulfosuccinate and sodium laurate.
